Does Napping reduce Stress Levels?
When I talk to people about the subject of “How to reduce Stress Levels” I most of the time will get this question within the first few minutes, and rightly so as it is a very valid question and a very important one.
You see it is the process of taking short intense naps that gives us long lasting energy boosts and the ability to resolve our Issues that are the cause of our Stress Levels being higher. It is unfortunately not widely understood that we as Humans can not survive without Sleep. This is due to the fact that the body uses this “Down Time” to sort out the minds issues, be they conflicting input, new ideas, acquired education, visual information and more.
If we do not give the mind time to resolve these things we will find it going further and further OFF TRACK and without resolving this divergence you will deteriorate over time and can actually die from it.
What I am attempting to make you see is that on the one hand you can reduce your Stress Levels by taking a powernap because your mind will be able to sort out the conflicting messages it got in the first place which caused the higher Stress Level. On the other hand you will also your Stress Levels by Napping simple due to the fact that whilst you are napping the influencing factors that were the initial catalyst to your higher Stress Levels can not affect you whilst you are napping.
In nutshell this means to you that Whilst Napping you are:
- Removed from the catalyst of your higher Stress Levels
- You give your mind time to absorb the input it received prior to the nap.
